Oasis Stud Poker

Objective
Oasis Poker is a variation of poker game. It is played against the dealer with a single deck of 52 cards. The purpose of the player is to receive the greatest denominations combination from five cards. The highest card is an Ace, the lowest is a Two.

The Game
A player begins by placing a bet (ante) in the ante box. Each click increases the bet. After that click on the "Deal" button. The player is dealt five cards face down while the dealer is dealt four cards face down and one card face up. The player then evaluates his hand and decides on one of three options:

  • Surrender - the player will lose the amount wagered on the ante.
  • Bet - the player will place an additional wager in the bet area which must be double the amount of the "ante" wager.
  • Change - the player will discard from 1 to 5 cards. To do this, hit desired cards with the mouse cursor and click on the "Change" button. The player is then charged off the amount, which is equal to his initial bet multiplied by the quantity of the cards being discarded. The dealer makes replacement of the cards. After exchange, the player evaluates his hand again to take another decision.

The dealer then reveals his/her hand and compares them with player's hand if it is still in play. The dealer must qualify, however, with an Ace/King hand or better.

If the dealer fails to qualify, the player receives even money on the amount wagered on the ante while the back bet is a standoff.

If the dealer qualifies with an Ace/King or higher and his/her hand is higher than the player's hand, the player loses both wagers on the ante and the bet.

If the player's hand is higher than the dealer's hand, the player receives even money on the ante wager and a bonus amount wagered in the bet are based on the chart below.

If both hands (dealer's and player's) are of the same type, the rest of the cards are being compared (cards that don't make a combination). The higher-rank card wins, the suit doesn't matter. If all 5 cards match both player's and dealer's hands, then its a draw game, the player gets back his bet.
